Most Advanced Infertility techniques
At Kavitha Fertility Centre we use some of the most advanced infertility techniques and technologies available in the world today to help you have a baby. This investment only happens following considerable research by our expert team. We do not offer what we consider to be experimental treatments or techniques. Advanced techniques, additional treatments or procedures are only offered if we believe that they could make a genuine difference to the outcome for a large number of our patients – giving you trust, assurance and confidence in your treatment. And in line with our aim of ensuring fertility treatment is accessible for all, we don’t charge you extra to benefit from many of these technologies, unlike other clinics.
Innovations available to you include:
Time-lapse embryo selection: EmbryoScope
Time-lapse embryo selection uses special EmbryoScope incubators, which create videos showing every crucial stage of embryo growth. These videos give us in-depth insight beyond what we can typically see through standard incubation, allowing us to identify the embryos for transfer which have the best chance of pregnancy. Time-lapse embryo selection is an option available to all patients. We strive to be the most technologically advanced and efficient fertility centre in Tamilnadu. Kavitha will be the first in the Tamilnadu to offer PGD using the Next Generation Sequencing.
Endometrial Receptivity Array test
Around 25% of women who have repeated implantation failure have a displaced window of implantation. The new Endometrial Receptivity Array (ERA) test is a genetic test that accurately assesses when your endometrial lining is at its most receptive to the embryo, so we can precisely time your transfer to increase your chance of successful implantation.
Blastocyst culture and transfer
Blastocyst transfer is extended culture of your embryo in our laboratory to identify embryos which reach a crucial cell-stage of development. We do not charge you for Blastocyst culture/transfer.
DNA fragmentation testing
Have you had an unexpected failed IVF cycle despite a good prognosis, or repeated miscarriages? We offer a DNA Fragmentation test that identifies whether DNA-damaged sperm is the cause. Sometimes sperm samples contain severely fragmented DNA, despite normal morphology (shape and size) and motility, and so the chances of a successful pregnancy are reduced. Our DNA Fragmentation test will tell you the percentage of DNA damaged sperm and whether this could affect your fertility, as well as recommending any treatments to help.
Endometrial scratching
Endometrial scratching is a pre-IVF treatment, before your cycle starts, where your endometrial lining is gently scratched. Studies have shown that it changes the way the lining grows back, helping embryos to implant. This may be useful if you’ve had failed cycles through embryo implantation failure. You can book in for endometrial scratching as a private procedure, whether you are a patient with us or are having IVF treatment elsewhere.
Preimplantation Genetic Screening:
Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS) is an advanced method of embryo selection. PGS assesses chromosome numbers in developing embryos, so only those embryos which have the correct chromosome numbers are selected for transfer in your IVF/ICSI cycle. PGS may be advised if you have a history of recurrent miscarriage, are an older woman or have had repeated failed IVF cycles.
EmbryoGlue
EmbryoGlue is a breakthrough product which has been proven to help embryos implant after transfer. All embryos developed at Kavitha Fertility Centre are placed into EmbryoGlue prior to transfer, free of charge.
NAAT screening for known donor or surrogacy case
Do you need a sperm donor to have a baby and have a known donor? Or do you need to use a surrogate? We now offer NAAT screening for these types of treatments, where the sperm donor’s samples need to be frozen to go through a quarantine period before they can be released for your use. A more sophisticated test than the usual post-quarantine screens, our NAAT screening means the waiting time for you to start treatment is reduced from the usual six months to a much-shorter two months.
Vitrification
Vitrification is a special ‘flash-freeze’ technique we use when freezing eggs and embryos. It’s a way of freezing the eggs and embryos without long exposure to the cryoprotectants used, which can cause damage to the cells. This method results in very high survival rates for both eggs and embryos.
Serenity non-invasive prenatal testing
One of most advanced tests available of its kind, Serenity is a simple yet highly-accurate, non-invasive blood test that assesses the risk of chromosome conditions such as Down Syndrome as your pregnancy develops, but with no risk to your baby. Available from 10 weeks of pregnancy, anyone can come and have this test with us – whether you’ve had treatment with us, elsewhere or conceived naturally.
